Intro to Collage
Collage Techniques 101 - $22 (3 hr. class)

An Introduction to Collage, the Art Medium for Any Creative Mind.

A collage is defined as an artistic composition using a variety of materials glued onto a surface, with lines and colors supplied by the artist. What is great about collage as an art medium is that anyone can achieve an interesting and expressive piece of artwork regardless of your skills with drawing or painting. It is all about play with images, textures, color and especially your imagination.Intro to Collage

Bring along some images you find inspiring (ie: faces or figures cut from magazines), copies of photos (vintage, recent, black and white or color), scraps of paper you love the color or texture of, ephemera (life’s leftovers ie: ticket stubs, game pieces) or embellishments you have hanging around as well as your favorite rubber stamps and your favorite inks. We will provide a lot of other materials as well as tips for creating great backgrounds using acrylics paints and all the inspiration needed to jumpstart your collage imagination.

Registration

  • Pre-registration is required at least 48 hrs. prior to class. Class fee must be paid in full at the time of registration.

    • Cancellation Policy

  • If you are unable to attend the class you have registered for you may send someone in your place or your class fee can be credited towards a future class or given as store credit.

    The amount credited is subject to the amount of notice given:

    More than 48 hours - 100%
    Less than 48 hours - 50%
    “No show” - 0%

  • Please do not bring guests or children to class.


  • Minimum enrollment for all classes is three students. Talk, Paper, Scissors reserves the right to cancel classes that don’t meet the minimum enrollment. Your class fee will be 100% refunded.


  • Materials featured in event/class photos may vary from those actually provided. Talk, Paper, Scissors reserves the right to substitute comparable materials based on availability.
